Biographical Profile

Rick began his career in electonics when he joined NCR in 1980 as an Associate Engineer in Retail Systems Engineering. During this time, he participated in the research and development of various point-of-sale systems. In 1984 Rick designed and developed an Automatic DLC Communications Switch which culminated in the award of a United States Patent in 1986.

During that same year, Rick transferred to NCR's PC development organization. There, he worked in the Quality Assurance department performing PC design compatability testing and later moved into BIOS testware design. As a Testware Designer, Rick developed and released a BIOS Compatability Test Suite that was used on all subsequent PC platforms to insure compatability with industry standards.

In 1989, Rick was asked to join Systems Integration and Testing for NCR's first development and release of an Intel® 80486 based system and has worked in that capacity, most recently with NCR's Computer Systems Division in Columbia, SC; until he joined Webnetics Inc. in August of 1997 to head the Support Services area.
